So, you might have heard Gmail is getting a new feature? Since 2011, this will be Gmail’s major upgrade. For a long time, emails have remained unchanged and static. Google is trying to change this by bringing a new update to Gmail. In March, support for Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) was added to Gmail. Wondering what it did? This enabled the users to create interactive content right from their inbox.
A new and wonderful feature that was added to Gmail is Dynamic Email. Previously, it was only available for businesses as a beta. The Dynamic email is set to be launched on 2nd July. A great thing about this feature is that it will be enabled on all the Google accounts. So, what is so special about this feature?
In this article, we have mentioned everything you need to know about the dynamic emails. Read on to know more about it.
What is Dynamic Email?
The dynamic email is the latest feature of Gmail that will allow you to do plenty of actions without leaving the inbox. Thanks to the dynamic email, the emails by some senders will become richer. This means that you will be able to perform tasks like RSVP-ing for an event, look at catalogs, easily respond to comments, and fill a questionnaire.
Browsers Supporting Dynamic Emails
Though it is available for the web version of Gmail, soon the mobile support will be launched as well. When it comes to web browsers, all major web browsers support this feature including Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Opera.
Who can Send Dynamic Emails?
The question arises, who can send the dynamic emails? Well, Google is currently working on it. Developers are being cleared for security and privacy. So far, the list includes leading companies like Despegar, Nexxt, Doodle, redBus, Freshworks, and many others.
Some of the leading websites have already signed up for offering interactive content to their Gmail users. Pinterest and Booking.com are such companies; Pinterest will allow their Gmail users to save trendy and wonderful ideas from inside Gmail. While Booking.com will notify the users about their reservations and they can reply accordingly in that email.
Not only this, Google’s productivity products such as Google Docs will also start working with this new feature. Previously, you were notified through an email when someone mentioned you in a comment. With the help of dynamic emails, you will be able to see the comments directly in Gmail. You can resolve or reply to the comment within that message.
Can You Turn It Off?
What if you don’t want to use it? Well, you can easily disable it once it rolls out in July. Since it will be enabled by default, it is not obligatory for everyone to use it. For doing so, all you have to do is go to the Settings in Gmail. So, will you be using these extra actions? Let us know in the comments below how you feel about this upgrade.
